In the course of researching GMO's: A Quick and Dirty Guide, I've gotten my hands on quite a few books about GMO's, food production and food safety. Some of them seem to be written by highly-qualified individuals. But when I dive into them, I find myself really, really disappointed by the caliber of the reporting. - Mary Baker is a full time freelance copywriter and journalist with over 20 years of experience in press and marketing. For most of her life she has either been in, or close to, agriculture and farming. Mary is an avid gardener and horticulturist who believes in organic, low-impact and sustainable methods whenever possible. Mary is the founder of National Foodcycle Week, a hunger awareness initiative; and has also sponsored a gleaning program for her home county.
